HOPE SPRINGS

When my nephew died in 2005 my sister allowed me to attach 3 sunflowers to his chest before his burial. Those sunflowers have been an inspiration to me ever since - signifying hope emerging from the pain and destruction that impacted our family since his death. 

Over time I have coached myself to look for that hope in everything - seen here in my latest painting…growing out of the death and sadness, yet ever present…you just have to look up.
